Whilst carrying out an Electrical Inspection in Buckhurst Hill, this junction box was found underneath the floor whilst carrying out some rewiring work on the downstairs lights.
Whoever previously wired this, couldn’t get all of the conductors into the terminals of the junction box, so you can see them sprayed around the outside.
The red ones you see are the life, and the black ones are the neutral. T
The thing is you never know what’s lurking underneath the floor now... imagine sanding the floor so that it looks perfect for the room - then spilling a drink that comes into contact with these live conductors.💥
